“Lastochka" (swallow) is a student squad of the youth patriotic action “Nevsky Troops”, created at SPbGASU. As part of this volunteer campaign, students travel to the Leningrad region to help people in various areas of life. This winter was no exception. From 27 January to 4 February, the guys went to the Volosovsky district.

The participants of the trip were Taisiya Antysheva, Ekaterina Artemenko, Matvey Byvshev, Maksim Volodin, Rami Daramna, Ilya Kozlov, David Kofman, Maria Kulya, Daria Obukhova, Nikita Pekin, Anastasia Ponomareva, Igor Rudakov, Anastasia Sosnina, Maria Strizhkova, Anna Timoshenko, Maria Trifonova , Konstantin Uteshev, Yulia Shatskikh, Vyacheslav Yun and Daria Yablokova.

For two months the “swallows” prepared a concert for children “Bremen Town Musicians. The road to a dream." The guys were inspired by the story of traveling artists and, having slightly altered it in a modern way, made their own version. During the nine days of travel, the Lastochka squad successfully performed five concerts.

The main part of the activity was work in schools, where students gave lectures on topics of archeology (debunking myths, talking about modern research methods, personal work experience - “Lastochka” also includes members of the SPbGASU student archaeological squad “Lin'”) and personality types with testing to determine your personality type, as well as master classes on making crafts with your own hands.

In addition, the squad traditionally took part in economic work. This time they worked at the petting zoo “Snow White’s Shelter”, and also helped with snow removal at the museum-estate of S. K. Roerich in Izvara, where in their free time they attended an excursion with a story about the life of an outstanding artist and thinker. Tasks in cultural centers and a number of other assignments were also completed.

This was the eighth volunteer trip of the "Nevsky troops" squad “Lastochka”.
