The SPbGASU Chamber Choir took part in a grandiose show at Gazprom Arena

On the first day of September, a Guinness record was set at the Gazprom Arena stadium. A choir of more than twenty thousand members accompanied by an orchestra of eight thousand musicians played the national anthem of the Russian Federation. The largest choir in the world included the SPbGASU Chamber Choir.

Students and teachers at the stadium

The musical team at the stadium comprised not only professional performers, but also representatives of various youth associations, volunteers, and spectators. Many of them traveled thousands of kilometers specifically to participate in this all-Russian action. The performance was led by Pavel Ovsyannikov, People's Artist of the Russian Federation.

According to the students, it was an incredible experience, and it still is not easy for many of them to realize that they participated in such a grand event.

This year is the anniversary year for the National Anthem of the Russian Federation. For the first time, the anthem melody created by composer Alexander Alexandrov was performed 75 years ago.
