There took place a motor rally devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory
On May 7, 2015 the car club of the Faculty of Automobile and Road Building, the Chair of Physical Training, professional community, student council and department of PR relations of Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering organized and held a motor rally, devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The motor rally is aimed at commemoration of heroic defenders of our city and upbringing of young people who are public spirited and love their Motherland.
12 students and 4 cars took part in the motor rally, most of them being students of the faculty of automobile and road building. The motor rally started at 15:00. The starting point was the main building of the university and the finish was the Museum-diorama “Leningrad blockade running” in Kirovsk and memorial “Nevsky band-box”. Tour to the diorama, acquaintance with the weapon and technics of war period, laying flowers in front of the beds-of-honor, excursion about the historical reconstruction – all this made an imperishable impression on the motor rally participants and gave a chance to feel the atmosphere of those rough years.
The motor rally proved that people still remember about the war and hand down the memory of the war from generation to generation.
