II International Sientific and Technical Symposium "Serov Readings"

Target audience

  • Leading scientists and specialists;
  • Young scientists conducting research in the field of timber structures.

Purpose

Informing the scientific, technical and industry community about new achievements in the field of experimental and theoretical research and new design and construction technologies using various types of structures.

Presentations by representatives of leading universities, research institutes, design organizations, and construction companies are expected.

Objectives

  • Summarizing the experience of using timber structures in civil and industrial engineering;
  • Developing information modeling for the design and calculation of single- and multi-story buildings using engineered timber structures;
  • Developing recommendations for regulatory documentation, educational programs, and the publication of educational and methodological literature on timber construction and structures;
  • Establishing a systematic approach to developing regulatory documentation and planning research work.

Topics

Current advances in timber construction, challenges, and best practices in the design and construction of residential and public buildings.

Proceeding mode

  • In-person – presenting a paper*, including subsequent publication of an article in the event proceedings.
  • In-person with remote connection – presenting a paper* online.
  • Attendee – attending the event without presenting a paper or publishing an article in the event proceedings.
* Presentations are limited to 15 minutes.

Collection of materials

  • Up to three articles per author are accepted for publication; each article must have no more than six authors.
  • Each author must complete and submit to the organizing committee:
    • in electronic form by e-mail, the text of the article, formatted in accordance with the requirements of the organizing committee of the symposium
    • by post to the address of SPbGASU:
      - license agreement in 2 (two) copies;
      - acceptance certificate in 2 (two) copies;
      - conclusion on the possibility of publishing the article in the open press according to the organizational form (not required for participants from SPbGASU).
  • Article texts will be checked using the Antiplagiat. Expert system. The originality requirements for texts are in accordance with the Regulations for Checking Scientific Text Documents for Bias in the Corporate Version of the Antiplagiat. Expert System at SPbGASU:
    "SPbGASU sets the following originality percentage for scientific texts when checking them in the System...: for scientific articles – no less than 60%, including the originality of the article's conclusions; for the remaining articles – no more than 40%; as a rule, self-citations or paraphrased text, formatted according to citation rules, are allowed."

Control deadlines

  • 27.01.2026 – acceptance of applications for participation
  • 27.01.2026 – acceptance of supporting documents from foreign participants. A list of required documents will be provided individually by the event organizer upon receipt of the application.
  • 17.02.2026 – acceptance of article texts for the collection.
  • 24.02.2026 – acceptance of documents accompanying the publication of an article:
    • license agreement with the author in 2 (two) copies,
    • acceptance certificate in 2 (two) copies
    • conclusion on the possibility of open publication.
