Goals and objectives of our Department are:

• Training of well-qualified specialists in the field of design, construction, operation, reconstruction, and repair of roads and artificial structures on them, demanded on the Russian and international labor markets, with the account of the best traditions, innovative processes and the needs of modern production;
• Integration of the Department into prospective projects on planning the development of transport and logistics structure of the North-Western region, St. Petersburg and municipal entities;
• Introduction into the educational process of innovations that would allow training qualified specialists in accordance with the needs of reproduction of road infrastructure and development of the transport system of Russia;
• Conducting scientific research at a level that meets the demand on the Russian and international markets for scientific and technical products;
• Expansion of the Department's inclusion in all-Russian and international projects, regular implementation of publications on Department’s scope of topics.
