  • Publication of scientific and educational literature: since 2004, a series of scientific books "The Economic Revival of Russia" has been published (author of the idea and project manager). Currently 60 volumes have been released.
  • Involvement of youth in innovative activities and scientific and technical creativity.
  • Expertise in scientific activity: acted as an opponent of more than 120 applicants for the academic degrees of candidate and doctor of economic sciences. As an expert of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, he has reviewed more than 150 scientific projects.

Research interests

  • Creator and leader of scholar school “Methodological problems of regional construction and investment complexes effectiveness” (1999);
The school is included in the Register of leading scientific and scientific-pedagogical schools of St Petersburg and has received wide recognition from the Russian and international scientific community. For a significant contribution to scientific research in the field of economics and in connection with the 20th anniversary, the European Academy of Natural Sciences and the UN International Council for Public Awards awarded the school with the Leonardo da Vinci medal (2018); in 2019, the European Economic and Industrial Consortium awarded the scientific school with the gold medal "European Quality"; The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences "for scientific victories and accomplishments" awarded the scientific school with the Order of Alexander the Great (2020). The scale of scientific cooperation between various scientists and organizations is evidenced by the fact that more than 270 domestic and foreign scientists became co-authors of the leader of the National Scholars School “Methodological problems of the effectiveness of regional ISCs as a self-organizing and self-governing system”, Professor A.N. Additional information

Most of A. N. Asaul’s working life is connected with construction (1966–2000), where he went from a worker to the general director (chairman of the board of directors) of OAO Design and Construction Association Lenoblagrostroy and was awarded the title of Honored Builder of the Russian Federation (1994).

From 1990 to 2004 he worked as an associate professor, professor at the St Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economics (part-time).

Professor A. N. Asaul pays much attention to educational and methodological work. As a member of the Educational and Methodological Association in the direction of training "Management" of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, he took an active part in the development of the State Educational Standard of Higher Professional Education of the second generation. Under his leadership and with direct participation, the Department of Educational Programs and Professional Education Standards of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation developed and subsequently approved exemplary programs for the disciplines "Organization of Entrepreneurship" and "Real Estate Economics". Subsequently, textbooks with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation were prepared and published under these programs. According to the results of the competition among teachers of higher educational institutions, held by the Foundation for National Education, A. N. Asaul was recognized as a laureate for the textbook "Economics of Real Estate". The textbooks "Economics of Real Estate" and "Organization of Entrepreneurship" were nominated for the RF Government Prize in the field of education. Currently, "Economics of Real Estate" has been published 18 times in various publishing houses of the Russian Federation and other CIS countries.

Member of legislative activity: Federal Law of 28 November, 2011 No. 337-FZ "On Amendments to the Town Planning Code of the Russian Federation and Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation". In highlighting the institution of a technical customer as a new key element of organizational interaction in the framework of the formation of a building product, it is necessary to note the role of the scientific school “Methodological problems of the effectiveness of regional investment and construction complexes as a self-organizing and self-regulating system” (founder and leader - Professor A. N. Asaul).
