The International Ecology Prize "EcoWorld" is a public award for outstanding achievements in environmental protection and ensuring environmental safety, as well as in other environmental activities aimed at sustainable development in the 21st century.
The purpose of the competition is to promote the development of environmental policy, improve the level of environmental education and environmental culture of citizens, develop environmental science, disseminate environmentally friendly technologies, improve public health and preserve biodiversity.
Prize nominations:
- Environmental policy and the environment (development of draft regulatory documents at the state and regional levels, defining the main provisions of environmental policy, development and implementation of environmental programs, organization of comprehensive monitoring of the state of the environment, compliance with environmental measures)
- Ecology, protection of citizens' rights to a favorable environment, preservation of the natural, historical and cultural heritage of territories (development and implementation of projects aimed at creating a favorable and comfortable living environment for people, preserving unique natural, historical, cultural sites and territories)
- Environmental awareness, education and culture (creation of textbooks, study guides, works of art (in the field of literature, painting, architecture, music, cinema, theater), as well as the implementation of projects, programs and actions aimed at increasing the level of environmental education and environmental culture of the population)
- Ecological and patriotic activities, restoration of natural and historical heritage, creation of tourist and excursion programs and projects (development and implementation of projects aimed at preserving and recreating natural-historical and military-historical sites, memorial complexes, museums, creating tourist routes of natural and historical-cultural heritage)
- Youth programs, projects in the field of ecology and environmental protection (participants are young people up to 35 years old inclusive) (development of programs and projects for the use of innovations and information technologies to preserve the natural environment, create resource-saving technologies, restore landscapes, improve territories and cities)
- Ecological development, resource-saving and zero waste technologies (implementation of environmental developments aimed at preserving the environment, creating resource-saving and waste-free technologies that promote rational environmental management and reduce or do not have a negative impact on the environment)
- Environmentally safe goods and food (creation of products that do not pollute the environment and food products that are safe for human health)
- Ecology and human health (implementation of projects, programs and actions aimed at practical solutions to improve the quality of the environment (air, soil, water bodies, drinking water, food) and improve public health)
- Conservation of biodicersity and landscapes (implementation of projects, programs and actions aimed at the practical conservation and restoration of landscapes and biodiversity (preservation and restoration of rare biological species in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems))
- Environmentally friendly technologies and materials in low-rise construction, wooden housing construction (development and implementation of environmentally friendly technologies and materials in low-rise housing construction)
- Landscape and park design, modern architectural solutions and landscape painting (new solutions in architecture, achievements in landscape painting, design, gardening and landscaping, creation of new standards of country life)
The selection of competition participants is carried out on the basis of submitted applications and documents confirming the implementation of the submitted projects, programs, and promotions.
