SPbGASU and Henan University of Urban Construction Top Management Team Meeting
On April, 25, 2019, delegation from Henan University of Urban Construction (HUUC, Pingdingshan, China) visited SPbGASU.
Wang Zhaodong, HUUC Rector, was the leader of the delegation
HUUC was represented by top management team members:
- Zhao Anfan, Head of the Academic Office,
- Go Ifei, Dean of the Faculty of Municipal Services and Engineering Ecology,
- Lu Penfei, Member of HUUC Academic Council,
- Zhao Zunming, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.
The guests had a traditional excursion around SPbGASU and a meeting with the University Top Management Team.
SPbGASU has been cooperating with HUUC since 2014. Academic staff from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services annually visit HUUC with lectures.
SPbGASU has thrice held field trips for HUUC students. Several Chinese lecturers has also done fieldwork at SPbGASU departments. Two Master’s degree students and four Bachelor’s degree students from Pingdingshan are studying at SPbGASU at the moment. Two SPbGASU lecturers received an Honorary Doctorate degree at HUUC in 2017.
Results of the Visit
Wang Zhaodong, Rector of Henan University of Urban Construction (HUUC, Pingdingshan, China) received an Honorary Doctorate degree at Academic Council meeting at SPbGASU. Speaking out, he expressed his intention to strengthen the cooperation between the universities.
Further cooperation options were discussed at the Top Management Team meeting.

Irina Lugovskaya, First Vice Rector: ‘Great distance between the universities and language barrier are the two problems in our interaction, however they can be solved. Our teaching staff enjoy working with the HUUC students’.
Possible ways of cooperation can be giving online lectures, organizing summer short-term visits and publication of co-authored textbooks in English and Chinese.
