On 21 - 28th  November, 2016 a scientific-practical seminar «Architecture and identification features of a historical city», organized by teachers of the Faculty of Architecture of SPSUACE  and the support of the fund of Romualdo del Bjanko took place in Florence.

The head of the Chair of Architectural Design, a PhD of architecture, senior lecturer F. V.Perov became the coordinator of the project. The dean of the faculty of architecture, the head of the Chair of Architectural and Town-planning Heritage, D.Sc. of architecture, the professor S. V.Sementsov, the head of the Chair of Design of Architectural Environment S. V.Botchkarev, students of the faculty of architecture of SPSUACE participated in the action.

The seminar was devoted to a comparative research of identification characteristics of St.-Petersburg and Florence which create their unique image. Students of SPSUACE in advance made a number of researches on identification of the city environment of St.-Petersburg. The architectural researches of Florence at several levels became the second stage: town-planning (a planned structure, a grid of streets, scale and structure of inhabited groups), features of inhabited quarters, public spaces, housing estate scale, architectural features of buildings and their elements (windows, doors, balconies, and other details), color use. The seminar program also included lectures of the professor of the Florentine academy of architecture Roberto Koratstsi devoted to a problem of restoration and reconstruction of Florence after the Second World War and the project of territory development of the old market of Florence. The lectures were accompanied by excursions on discussed sites of street Via де Vardi and visiting Torre de Arnolfo at Palatstso Vekio.
